The Color Mapping feature of Hex Workshop helps users visually identify data patterns, add visual cues, and de-emphasize uninteresting data by modifying the display properties of user defined byte patterns and ranges.

All of the Color Mapping commands are accessible from the "Tools" menu, under the "Color Mapping" sub menu. From this menu, you can add a new color map, editing existing color maps, clear all color maps, save color mappings, and recalling color maps.  An add Color Mapping toolbar button is also available on the editor's "Tools" toolbar.
